Loch Tay sits at the heart of an extraordinary natural larder. Wild game, fresh fish and organically-farmed meat is sourced practically from our doorstep, and depending on the season, wild garlic from the banks of our burn or girolles mushrooms foraged from the surrounding woods may make an appearance on the menu.

A La Carte Dining
During dinner, we can offer two courses or three courses from the A La Carte menu.

The Chef's seasonal recommendation (ranging from 5 to 7 courses dependent on season) are also available for £65 per person. Well worth the extra for that special experience!

Perthshire and Loch Tay are amongst the world’s best known locations for salmon and trout fishing At Ardeonaig. Naturally, the area is a great draw for walkers.

Other activities to fill busy, happy days include mountain-biking, bird-watching, sailing, golf, climbing and discovering the fascinating history of this area, where Iron Age peoples built many defensible man-made islands called Crannogs on the loch.

But there’s no rule to say you have to be active here. Many of our guests are content simply to stroll, sit, and soak in some of the most magnificent scenery in Europe.

Gardens
There are numerous gardens open to the public in the local area, the better-known of these being Cluny or Bolfracks gardens.

Golf
There are numerous golf courses in the immediate area. The closest courses are at Killin and Taymouth Castle, Kenmore and Pitlochry.

Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery
Just three miles from the birth place of founder John Dewar, the Aberfeldy Distillery is the only distillery built by the Dewar family. We are situated very closely to the distillery, and are more than happy to arrange visits and transport to and from the distillery.

Pitlochry Hydroelectric Dam
Pitlochry Hydroelectric Dam and Fish Ladder spans the River Tummel at Pitlochry in Perthshire, Scotland. It was built between 1947 and 1951. By damming the River Tummel, Loch Faskally was created behind it.

Killin Gallery
Part of the Scottish Antiques Trail, Killin gallery has the largest selection of etchings in Scotland, with typically over 150 in stock at any one time. Including artists such as Wyllie, Blampied, Soper, Langmead and Briscoe.

Scottish Crannog Centre
A crannog is a type of ancient loch-dwelling found throughout Scotland and Ireland dating from 2,500 years ago. An important part of our heritage, many crannogs were built out in the water as defensive homesteads and represented symbols of power and wealth. The centre is a very short drive from Ardeonaig.

Taymouth Marina Watersports
The new watersports & activity centre is located in new purpose built facilities at Taymouth Marina. With a modern fleet of boats, equipment and new training facility, activities include canoe, motorboat, pedalo and topper hire.

Fishing
Those with a fishing permit are able to fish at any point of public land around the loch. If, however, you are not the holder of a permit, we can arrange fishing privately at the back of the hotel's estate.
