The Melville Castle Hotel on the outskirts of Edinburgh is an 18th Century Country House Hotel nestled within 50 acres of beautiful woodland estate. Although Melville Castle is located in the country side, Edinburgh City Centre and Edinburgh Airport are only 20 minutes away. This 4 star castle hotel in Scotland was once a hunting seat of Mary Queen of Scots, and was commissioned by the first Viscount Melville. In recent years Melville Castle has been carefully restored and brought back to life by the Hay family, who continue to be responsible for the castle to this day

CLASSIC BEDROOMS
There are 21 classic bedrooms with a mixture of twins and doubles. While these rooms are not as large as the Superior bedrooms they share the same views and offer a very comfortable experience. SUPERIOR BEDROOMS
The 10 superior bedrooms comprise of a mixture of unique gallery bedrooms and four poster bedrooms. They tend to be a little more interesting than the classic rooms and if you would like more space then these are the rooms to go for.

There are two suites within the castle both offering a comfortable lounge in which you can relax with plenty of space.

The Brasserie at Melville Castle Hotel serves an a la carte menu with a great variety of choice using fresh local produce when possible.
Special Dishes are featured weekly and the menu is changed according to the seasons.
For a less informal option the Cellar Bar offers a great choice of dishes from snacks to mains and comforting desserts.
