The moment you walk into your personal sanctuary in the main house, you can't help but be pleasantly surprised by the high ceilings, traditional décor and personal touches which ensure a relaxing and memorable visit.
Need to send a quick email perhaps, or fancy catching up with the latest sports news on television? Or maybe you’d prefer a long hot bath before supper, complete with luxury soaps and shampoos? With such well-equipped luxury on hand, you’ll soon find the Murrayshall Hotel is your home from home.

The Murrayshall Lodges
Built in 2000, the Murrayshall Lodges are situated just fifty yards from the main house and offer spacious comfortable accommodation and quality facilities.
Again, you’ll notice the small touches most, like the luxurious linen, large well-appointed bathroom and complimentary mineral water and shortbread.

Standard Rooms: anything but...
Set in the sumptuous elegance of the original house, our Standard Rooms are characterised by their exquisite charm and comfort.
Because all eight Standard Rooms are individually decorated, each has its own unique character and appeal. The rooms are light and airy, reflective of the acres of fresh air at your fingertips. Every Standard Room is en suite with traditional fittings in keeping with the room’s classic, rural decor.

Superior Rooms: relax in luxury
The Superior Rooms are found in the original Murrayshall house, and offer the same rustic character of the standard room but with extra space.
Cast ordinary notions of hotel rooms aside; the Superior Rooms, all with en suite bathrooms and some with vestibules, give you spectacular views of the private estate and surrounding countryside.

Junior Suite: rustic but modern
If you like to be a little more self-contained, the Junior Suite offers you stunning lodge accommodation in the Murrayshall Hotel grounds.
Still very much in the country house style, the suite consists of open plan studios, all modern and light, most with an additional double sofa bed. With a modern bathroom and power shower, the Junior Suite caters for your every need.

Fairway Suite: character and space combined
The Fairway Suites are situated in the lodges, set in the grounds of Murrayshall House
Larger than the Junior Lodge suites, these rooms have a separate lounge and work space area, and a sizeable bathroom with power shower. With a comfortable sofa bed available in the lounge, this lodge is ideal for families.

Lynedoch Suites: the memorable lodge experience
The largest and most luxurious of all the lodge suites, The Lynedoch suites offer you a fabulous lounge area, dining table, separate bath and shower room.

Every lodge keeps in with the country house feel of the hotel, but contains lighter furniture and more contemporary bathroom fittings to add modern comfort.

Master Suite: our biggest and best

With a magnificent blank canvas of beautiful landscape, Hamilton J Stutt had over 350 acres of Perthshire countryside to work with. Laid out before him was a mature woodland estate dating back to the 1600's. He sympathetically used the natural contours and the Murrayshall course meanders through tree lined fairways, undulating parkland and has several natural burns which have been used to protect the large greens. The introduction of the white sand bunkers which are a feature of the Murrayshall course lie in waiting for errant shots.

Hamilton J Stutt returned to design the Lynedoch Course and make great use of the existing natural woodland, utilised the wild flower meadows that nature intended and carved a real wee gem of a course.

Both courses are a real contrast to one another – Murrayshall Championship, the wider, longer course requires length and accuracy from the tee shot, this will allow golfers the opportunity to approach greens from the correct angle, widening the view of the pin. Lynedoch however is shorter but no less a challenge, tighter fairways, bracken filled gullies and tall Scots Pine trees narrow the golfer’s view of fairways and greens.

With two different golf courses, both set out to a fabulous standard of play, the courses have attracted national and international events over the years. Currently the home to the Paul Lawrie Scottish Schools Championship, Murrayshall and Lynedoch have also hosted PGA events along with SGU National Finals and most recently was the Inaugural Scottish venue for the Sky Sports Trilby Tour.

Murrayshall also gives golfing guests the chance to visit the famous courses of St Andrews, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie and Gleneagles, which are all within short driving distance of the hotel.

With so much on offer to keen golfers of all levels, it’s no surprise that Murrayshall House Hotel has become globally renowned as a provider of top quality golfing breaks and golf days out in the historic home of golf.

For golfing guests who want to practise their swing before heading out onto the prestigious Championship or Lynedoch courses, Murrayshall House offers a well-equipped golf driving range to help hone your skills.
The driving range is floodlit and provides modern facilities for golfers at any level of proficiency
