There are no standard Twin Rooms at the Popinjay Hotel, to book a Twin Room, please upgrade to a Deluxe Room at £20 per room per night.

Directions to Popinjay Hotel in Rosebank

Follow signs for A72 Lanark from the M74 motorway. The Popinjay Hotel is located in the sleepy village of Rosebank.

Only in the Clyde Valley can you be so close to both nature and transport links, as the Popinjay is located only 4 miles from the main link M74 motorway, which gives direct access to Glasgow and the North, Edinburgh and the East Coast, and South to the Borders and England.

The Popinjay Hotel does not allow Pets in either Family Rooms or their Refurbished Rooms. Guests bringing their Dog will be allocated a non-refurbished Double Room only. Please be aware that the hotel may also have functions taking please on Friday and Saturday nights which can result in late night noise.

NEW LANARK WORLD HERITAGE VILLAGE

A beautifully restored 18th century cotton mill village nestled in the spectacular south Lanarkshire valley, located close to the Falls of the Clyde.

A highlight of any visit is the fascinating 'Annie McLeod Experience' ride, which features the ghost of mill girl Annie who magically appears and takes you on a journey back in time to 1820. 

CHATELHERAULT PARK

The park was once described as a ‘Jewel in the Landscape’. Built in 1732 as a Hunting Lodge and Summer House for the Dukes of Hamilton.

The restored buildings now house a Visitor Centre; the West Lodge comprising of the Banqueting Hall and Duke and Duchess Apartments; Exhibition Gallery and Displays; Gift Shop and Café. Outside, visitors can explore 10 miles of walks along the scenic River Avon and through ancient woodland.

Nature Trails: Feel close to nature with over 10 miles of stunning woodland and gorge trails which follow the course of the river Avon from Hamilton to Larkhall. The Country Park boasts from five different trails ranging from 45 minutes to 3 hours at a gentle pace.

Adventure Play Ground: A totally integrated Play Ground that is equipped to suit all age groups. From toddler to teenager, this Play Facility has equipment to challenge and stimulate both the physical and mental abilities of children.

STRATHCLYDE COUNTRY PARK

The park lies in 400 hectares of countryside in the valley of the River Clyde. Mature woodlands, rough wetlands, wildlife refuges and neat open parkland all surround Strathclyde Loch, the focal point for many of the park activities.

AMAZONIA

Amazonia is located in Strathclyde Country Park, in Motherwell and is a popular attraction for familyand friends. Amazonia is Scotland's largest indoor rainforest attraction offering a fun and educational experience for all ages.
