Bar & Restaurant

tick Outdoor Dining Terrace

Guests can either choose fine dining in the award-winning Fairways Restaurant, a meal in the contemporary Links Brasserie with panoramic views out over the Moray Firth or afternoon tea in the comfort of the lounge.

The restaurant comprises full windows, almost from ceiling to floor along one wall, and the heavy velvet curtains and rich décor give Fairways a more formal setting to sit down to dinner than the brasserie. A certain ambience is created with the combination of dim lighting and our attention to quality and detail.

Dress code is casual, so feel free to dress up or down as you like.

Sample a taste from award-winning kitchens with the six course taster option. The menu changes daily and is passionately prepared to complement the seasons. The à la carte dinner menu, from which the tasters are based, has been created by the celebrated Head Chef Saurav and brings together classic Scottish and traditional dishes with a creative twist.

Being right on the north coast of Scotland, seafood features largely the menus, with the mouillabaisse of monkfish and Arbroath pollock being counted amongst the favourites.

Steaks are also a bit of speciality here with beef from our very own chief exec’s Crerar Home Farm Lammermuir Luing herd sometimes being featured on the menu. To top of these pedigree, top cuts, all steaks are cooked on our Josper grill and through the elegant combination of the grill and oven technique, benefit from a unique charcoaled flavour.

We believe greatly in locally sourced ingredients, high quality and seasonal produce for our menus, which means occasionally dishes from our advertised menus may be unavailable.

Links Brasserie

The Links Brasserie, set in less formal conservatory surroundings, offers a more relaxed, bistro-style menu where guests can view sunsets over the Cromarty Hills and beyond at dinner. In addition to the starters, main courses and grills available in the Links, sharing platters are also an option.

As well as evening dining, lunch is served in the brasserie until 2pm where options can be chosen from the lounge service menu. These vary from light snacks to main meals. If there is something you feel like that you are unable to see on the menu, simply let us know and if chef has the ingredients, we’ll be happy to make it for you.

The open space of the room, the conservatory features allowing views out to the beach and Moray Firth and the décor of the area all amount to a more casual dining experience. With this, dress code is more relaxed in Links Brasserie, though feel free to dress as you feel appropriate

The main lounge area, just left of reception and next door to the bar, is decorated with comfy sofas and lamps, plush carpets and coffee tables, as well as an open log fire.

In these areas you will find our lounge service menu which is available until late in the evening. It offers snacks and light bites, afternoon tea, main courses and a comprehensive drinks list.
