The Acarsaid Hotel in Pitlochry is one of Pitlochry’s oldest established hotels. Built in 1880 for Lady Helen Stuart, The Countess of Kilbride, this extended Victorian house is one of Pitlochry oldest hotels and with that distinction comes a long tradition of highland hospitality. The hotel is situated in an enviable position only a short, level walk from the centre of Pitlochry and offers a variety of accommodation for all visitors to this incredibly diverse part of Scotland
The Acarsaid Hotel truly believes that your bedroom should be a bit of a home from home and as such each bedroom is welcoming and relaxing with little extra "touches". All are individually decorated in a neutral and tasteful way, mostly in a contemporary style.

Some rooms have shower, some have bath and some have both - if you have a preference, please say at the time of booking and we can request this with the hotel for you.
Ground floor rooms are available as well as single rooms (a rarity in Pitlochry). The Acarsaid Hotel has no fully disabled rooms at the moment, but can give you advice on what can be offered.
The Acarsaid Hotel only has 2 Family rooms in the Hotel which have 1 x Double Bed + 1 x Single bed (they do not have extra beds which can be added in other rooms).
Bar & Restaurant
The Steakhouse at Acarsaid embraces the region’s plentiful harvest and created a menu that celebrates the great and the good of Scottish beef, lamb, pork and chicken. Fresh fish and shellfish have been sourced straight from the West Coast.
All of these are cooked to perfection and served with hand prepared seasonal vegetables, glorious thick sauces and fresh salads smothered in Perthshire Rapeseed Oils and homemade dressings.
Relax by starting your evening with a pre-dinner drink from the well stocked bar whilst making your dinner choices.
Wines are specially selected to compliment the menu and come from a variety of countries offering different tastes and styles for you to enjoy.
All food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts, gluten and other allergens are present.
Directions to Acarsaid Hotel in Pitlochry
From the North: Take the Pitlochry turning off the A9 and head into the town. Carry on through the town, passed all the shops. You will see the Police Station on the left; the Acarsaid hotel is 50 metres further on, located on the left
From the South: Take the Pitlochry turn off on the A9 and drive towards the town centre. After you pass Blair Atholl Distillery on the right you will come to a railway bridge, which you drive under. As the road straightens out you will find the Acarsaid hotel located on the right.

Guests on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis will be offered an allowance of £20.00 per person for the Steakhouse Menu. Pre-Theatre Table d'hote menu available from May-Oct is only served between 5.45pm & 6.30pm during the main Theatre Season. Pre-Theatre dinner is only available during the Main Pitlochry Festival Theatre Summer Season (Normally May - October incl) at other times arrangements would have to be agreed by the Hotel in advance of arrival. Transport to/from the Theatre is operated by the Hotel during the Main Theatre Summer season for evening performances only, at a cost of £4.20 per person return payable direct to the Hotel.This service MUST be booked in advance or before mid-day on the date required. Best Room Available - you will be allocated the best available room on check in. Please note that a superior room is not guaranteed, unless you have opted to pay the supplement for a guaranteed upgrade We do accept dogs (and certain other pets) but we have a limited number of rooms for this purpose which can only be reserved with confirmation from the Hotel - charges do apply at £7.50 per night which will be added to your account. As we have a limit on the number of rooms available to accept pets we recommend that you check with the Hotel before booking that one of these rooms is available as pets will not be accepted in any other rooms.
